Editorial Policy


 

 

VIMS Health Science Journal (VIMSHSJ) is an official scientific publication of Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. VIMS Health Science Journal is Open access, Peer-reviewed, quarterly published journal (March, June, September & December), and available in print [ISSN 2348-523X (Print)] & online version [ISSN 2454-1982 (online)].

 

 

 

 

This is an open-access journal, and articles are distributed as per the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) International License, which allows to share, copy & redistribute the material in any medium or format & adapt to remix, transform and build upon the material for any purpose even commercially after due credit is given to the original work. (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.)

 

 

 

 

No article processing charges & no article submission charges.  All articles published in the VIMS Health Science Journal are freely available online on www.vimshsj.edu.in from the date of their publication.

 

 

 

 

Review Process:

 

 

Submitted manusript(s) in VIMS HSJ first screened by editorial board members, for their eligibility for particular section such as editorial/ original article/ case report or review article. Appropiate  manuscript(s) are then submitted to plagiarism check, by Urkund plagiarism check software and as per UGC (promotion of academic integrity and prevention of plagiarism in higher educational institutions) Regulations, 2018.  After passing preliminary screening, article will be send for peer review, which is double-blind review process, where author's identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.

 

 

 

The manuscript will be rejected if not written according to authors guidelines or journal aims & scope or  not fulfilling the acceptable plagiarism criteria.

 

 

 

The submission by reviewers will be disscussed by editorial board members before deciding acceptance/ revision or rejection of a manuscript.

 

 

 

The first author will get the printed complimentary copy, and others can download the published article from www.vimhsj.edu.in

 

 

 

 

 

Digital Archiving :

 

 

VIMS Health Science Journal provides long-term digital preservation policy through OJS/PKP-PN and DOI (CrossRef).

 

 

This journal is enabled LOCKSS & CLOCKSS plugins to store & distribute journal content.

Publication Ethics :

 

 

VIMS HSJ following guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), which set standards & provide guidelines to maintain the publication ethics.

 

 

The research work published in this journal is the work of the author(s) & not of the VIMS Health Science Journal or editorial board or anyother board members. Hence the VIMSHSJ or editorial board  or any other board member cannot be held responsible for any wrong information submitted by the author(s).  Undertaking form duly signed by all authors and letter to the editor in chief must be submitted along with manuscript, if the same is accepted for publication.

 

 

The authors should ensure that the manuscript submitted to VIMS HSJ is not simultaneously submitted to any other journal/ publisher or anywhere else during the review process. The authors are therefore required to submit the undertaking form stating the same.

 

 

 

 

Journal Editorial Board/ Reviewer members: 

 

 

The journal editorial or reviewer board members are from various academic institutions having rich experience in their respective speciality/ fields. The appointment of the editorial or reviewer board members is internal formal process by experienced faculty’s, who identify and suggests appropiate members  to the  Journal Governing body and Editor-In-Chief, and then subsequently the Editorial/ Reviewer Board is formulated.
